We're so glad you are here! I’m Rachel, owner and head designer at Flocal Co Floral Studio! Flocal Co has been my passion project and the career change I never would have predicted! I started Flocal Co in 2022, alongside one incredible friend, in the pursuit of providing elevated and modern floral designs, in an easily accessible, transparent process. Previously, I worked in Health Care Information Technology and Consulting for around ten years and started Flocal Co as a fun little garage side project. I have always loved flowers, design, party planning and hosting of any kind. I knew I wanted to use my extensive business background to bring flowers to people in a way that felt clear, streamlined, and approachable, without losing that elevated, artful feel. We started this venture just dipping our toes in to see how hard it could be, and man did we have a lot to learn! Little did we know the wheels would start turning and this little side hustle would blossom.
Fast forward four years later, Flocal Co looks a lot different. We have graduated from the garage to our beloved studio in Grandview and we work alongside a team of people we absolutely adore! We have designed for countless weddings, parties, engagements, and all the special and heartbreaking moments in between. We have unloaded thousands of truckloads of fresh flowers. We have been on lifts and ladders for hours upon hours designing floral installations high up in the air. We have cleaned what feels like an infinite amount of candles. We have had the opportunity to flower in nearly every venue in town.
We have learned so much and are seasoned professionals in taking a floral vision from a concept to reality - from that initial proposal, to sourcing, designing, installing on the big day, late night clean-up and all the little details in between.
We continue to sharpen our skills and we pride ourselves in tackling every design challenge that comes our way! We love to continually evolve our craft to ensure we are providing the most intentional, high performing and stylish blooms possible for our clients.

We prioritize fresh local in-season blooms with unique textures, colors and designs for our retail store and continue that high quality - specially curated for our event and wedding designs. You will notice a new floral collection each month in our store that mirrors the season and helpful advice on all of our consultation calls to make sure your florals are in peak season and are showing off for your special events!

Maddie is our resident floral genius and our extremely talented photographer! There is no design challenge she won't take on and she gets a jaw-dropped reaction on her designs from the team each week! Outside of Flocal Co., Maddie runs her amazing photography business (Love Maddie Lou Photography) and helps develop recipes, cookbooks, podcasts and all the amazing content for her family business (Tastes of Lizzy T).
Lorry is our florist extraordinaire! She is a master designer with an amazing background in corporate marketing and design! She has the eye for all things chic and is the centerpiece magician! Lorry has the whole team laughing constantly with her stories and it would be a dull world without her around! Lorry is also an amazing entrepreneur and runs her own floral subscription based business in Westerville called Canvas Blooms.
